Key Responsibilities
Studio Setup and Daily Operations
Prepare studios ahead of bookings, including setting up and breaking down lighting, grip, backdrops, and general equipment
Reset studios promptly between bookings to a high standard
Repaint coves after client bookings where required
Restock toilets with essential supplies and ensure washroom areas are clean and presentable
Restock teas, coffees, and related consumables in studios and communal areas
Ensure studios are fully ready, presentable, and functional for incoming clients
Cleanliness and Presentation
Maintain high standards of cleanliness across studios, communal areas, kitchens, bar areas, toilets, and storage spaces
Keep studios tidy throughout the day, not just at changeovers
Take pride in maintaining a professional studio environment
Client Support and Problem Solving
Support clients during bookings and respond to requests promptly
Proactively assist with client needs and escalate issues when required
Help resolve unexpected issues calmly and efficiently

Experience working in a photography studio, creative space, event venue, or similar environment
Basic DIY, maintenance, or painting experience
Hospitality or barista experience
Food and Drink Service
Assist with food service alongside the in-house chef
Answer basic client questions regarding food service and timing
Prepare coffee and hot drinks using the studio’s barista bar (no prior experience required, full training provided)
Clear food and drink promptly after service and ensure all areas are left clean and tidy
Equipment, Stock, and Deliveries
Assist with incoming and outgoing equipment deliveries
Sort equipment correctly for the appropriate client or studio
Help coordinate client deliveries and collections, ensuring items are handled carefully
Studio Maintenance Support
Assist with regular studio maintenance including sanding, painting, patch repairs, and general upkeep
Flag maintenance issues or damage to the Head Studio Assistant or Studio Manager
Use tools, materials, and equipment safely and responsibly

Role Overview
The Freelance Studio Assistant is a hands-on, practical role supporting the day-to-day operation of the studio during client bookings. The role focuses on studio setup, cleanliness, maintenance support, client assistance, food and drink service, and general problem solving in a fast-paced creative environment.
This is not a specialist lighting or photography role. Assistants support studio setup and general operations rather than providing technical lighting expertise
